Six pretty plates and a lidded tureen from the Washington Pottery decorated in a pink rose and other floral pattern on a cream ground.
Washington Pottery, Shelton was one of the Staffordshire potteries.
The firm owned by the Tittensor family took over the business previously trading as Swinnertons and opened in 1946. In 1963 they were fortunate indeed to be granted a worldwide licence to manufacture Beatles memorabilia !
In 1970 there was a further name change to the English Ironstone Pottery.

Gilded rims and centres. There is overall crazing and some rubbing to the gilt on these items which are in excess of 70 years old. Will look great in any display of vintage pottery.
