Information

This super copper lustre jug is hand-painted with a beautiful frieze of pink and purple flowers.

It was produced by Wade Heath & Co of Burslem - one of the Staffordshire potteries. They were renowned for producing pieces with hand-painted, rich copper lustre glazes.

There is some slight rubbing and the odd mark on this 70+ year old item.

Approximate dimensions:
6.25 inches | 160mm high

This jug is the larger version - the smaller being approximately 5 inches high, listed separately.

Equally suitable as a vase, display piece or a most appealing dispenser of sangria perhaps.

Backstamp in use from 1939.  The numbers 4879 or 4 & 79 also appear.

This pretty piece is in excellent vintage condition.

All our items are pre-owned or vintage and may therefore show signs of use and age and will not be dishwasher proof.
