Information
This large blue and white storage jar was produced by T.G. Green & Co. Ltd., which operated from the village of Church Gresley, South Derbyshire from 1864 to 2007.

They are most famous for the blue and white striped kitchen items which were first produced in the early 1930s and known as 'E-Blue.'   However, the pottery produced many other patterns from Yellow wares, Victorian transfer prints, colourful hand-painted Art Nouveau and vibrant enamelled Art Deco.

This storage jar has the word 'Sugar,' painted to the front and bears the old black shield mark, first used in the 1930s.

Approximate dimensions :  7.25 / 18.5cm high

There are two hairlines to the top rim and age-related crazing to this old item.

Would make a great pot to hold your wooden spoons or just as a display piece on your dresser.

All our items are pre-owned or vintage and may therefore show signs of use and age and will not be dishwasher proof.
