These wonderfully oriental patterned and gilded Indian Tree duos come from the stable of William Hudson who traded from the Alma Works in Longton from c.1869-1892 and then at the Sutherland Pottery from c.1892-1941.
Hand-painted on transfer on a bone china base and finished in a honey glaze. Richly gilded to all rims, edges and handles.
Footed Cup x 3 - 2.625 inches | 68mm high
Saucer x 3 - 5.625 inches | 140mm
Some minor rubbing to the gilding and a couple of tiny spots on the saucer rims missed by the gilder which feel slightly rough to the touch. These are mentioned for completeness.
Backstamps include maker's mark from 1936, Pattern number 2461 and Gilder's mark.
In good vintage condition.
