Two stunning duos in a floral design from Salisbury China - one of the Staffordshire potteries. Decorated with Violets on a white ground and lavishly gilded to rims and handles.
Salisbury China operated from the Salisbury Works at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent from 1927 as the Salisbury Crown China Co. The word 'Crown' was no longer used in their trading name from 1949. In 1961 the firm was taken over by Thomas Poole. The mark on these items dates them to around 1946.
The matching cups have slightly differing saucers.
