An elegant set composed of Creamer and Open Sugar in the Fiona pattern from Paragon China - decorated in delicate shades, are yellow flowers and green scrolls on a pure-white gently-undulating ground. Finished with rich gilding to the footed rims and handle.
The Star China Company - one of the Staffordshire potteries - was founded in 1897 as a partnership between Herbert Aynsley (the great-grandson of the founder of Aynsley China) and Hugh Irving. They traded only from 1900 until 1919 using the trading name of Paragon. In 1919 the company name was changed to Paragon China Co. Ltd.
