Duchess China - Violets 346 - Milk Jug and Sugar Bowl - 1960s

Two footed items decorated with sprays of yellow and purple flowers on a pure white ground. The pattern is number 346 and it bears some similarities to their other patterns, 'Violets' and 'Violetta.'

These items were produced by A.T. Finney & Sons working out of the Duchess China Works, Longton - one of the Staffordshire potteries.

Their trade name of 'Duchess' was used from the start of business around 1947.

Sugar Bowl             2.5" /  65mm high  x  4.25"  /  110mm wide  

Gilding to rims, edges and handle.

There is clean, age-related crazing to the jug.

Backstamp and Gilder's mark.

In very good vintage condition.
