Denby's Greenwheat pattern is one of the iconic designs produced by the Denby Pottery. This cruet set consists of a salt, pepper and mustard pot with lid. It features a wheat sheaf hand-painted design on a white egg-shell glazed base, with complimentary high glazed dark green interior and lid of the mustard pot.
These items were produced by the pottery at Denby, Derbyshire which was established in 1809 by Joseph Bourne. Greenwheat was created by Denby's chief designer, Albert College, and this well-known stoneware pattern was available from 1956 until production ceased in 1977.
Each piece of Greenwheat is unique as every item is individually hand-painted.
