Information

A delicate and pretty hand painted milk jug from Crown Staffordshire. A pure white ground is hand painted with flowers, some of which are highlighted in bright enamels.

Approximate dimensions :  4 inches | 100mm

This antique piece is In first class condition.

Back stamp used from 1906.

Crown Staffordshire was established in1889 at the Minerva Works, Fenton in Staffordshire. The eagle-eyed will notice that the backstamp says 'ESTd 1801' - this is a bit cheeky. It was in fact the the Minerva Works that were established in 1801 not Crown Staffordshire, so not a lie but a stretching of the truth! A name change to read 'China' instead of 'Porcelain' was made in 1948.

A most delightful piece.
