Crown Staffordshire was established in1889 at the Minerva Works, Fenton in Staffordshire. The eagle-eyed will notice that the backstamp says 'ESTd 1801' - this is a bit cheeky. It was in fact the the Minerva Works that were established in 1801 not Crown Staffordshire, so not a lie but a stretching of the truth!
Backstamp in use 1930. Pattern number and gilder's mark.
In very good vintage condition overall - there is a hairline to the base of the handle, which does not detract and need not show on display. This tiny fault is reflected in the price for this stunning set. There is light, clean glaze crazing to bottom of cup.
A beautiful trio to add to or start your collection which will grace your dresser or cabinet.
