Beautiful Sauce Boat from Alfred Meakin, Tunstall - one of the Staffordshire Potteries. Alfred was a brother to James and George Meakin who operated from Hanley.
Produced towards the end of the Art Deco period, this stylish Sauce Boat is decorated in the Imari style and palette.
Richly gilded to the rim and handle. Mimimal rubbing to gilding under the spout.
Approximate dimensions : 2.75" / 7cm high 6.5" / 16.5cm from spout to handle
A little age-related glaze crazing and a tiny underglaze stain to bottom of the interior.
