Pretty 1930s Breakfast Cup and Saucer from Adderleys. Sprigs of flowers burst out and stand proud from the white bone-china surface of these delightful pieces.
Adderley Ltd. was based at Daisy Bank Pottery, Longton - one of the Staffordshire Potteries.
The pattern bears a remarkably similar look to that used on a range of items produced by another Staffordshire pottery - also of Longton - Sampson Smith Ltd's, Wetley China. I believe the pattern was called Chelsea Sprig.
Approximate dimensions : Cup 3" / 7.5cms high, Saucers 6.25" / 16cms wide.
Some lovely vintage items to grace your table. A spare saucer is also included.
Back stamped.
Further items in this pattern are also listed - A sandwich plate and a cake plate and three trios.
All our items are pre-owned or vintage and may therefore show signs of use and age and will not be dishwasher proof.
